30: Over it!

Thanks to all who tolerated all the talk of age from me over the last month (oh, let’s be honest, twelve months). I’m past that now, as of…now.
The 5chw4r7z35, Bob and Erin Marie, hosted a fab pool party and barbecue birthday lunch (which stretched to dinnertime, in the end) for me on Sunday. But the real star attraction was Blake’s iPhone, which everyone was desperate to see in action. I feigned disinterest, called Blake a lemming, admonished him for buying a first generation Apple product…and then tried to keep my jaw off the table when he showed me the thing in action.
Since I don’t have a TV (I’m not anti-TV; I just like it too much to have it in my home), I’ve missed out on a LOT of the hype and advertising, despite being a creature of the online world. So perhaps I was more easily impressed than if I’d already seen all that. Bottom line: I want. I’m sure I’ll be able to pick up Blake’s used one for a song next year when they’ve worked out all the bugs…
