She seems to find it unfitting for Washington ‘public servants’ to be thought of as shifty, arrogant, cheating, and morally repugnant.

This reminds me of something Hillary said to me when I was debating whether the Engagement Alliance should be a non-profit or not: People who work for non-profits often think of themselves as being somehow morally superior, and it can lead to an awful lot of martyr complexes (I’m paraphrasing). I’ve noticed the same tendency in those who like to think of themselves as ‘public servants’.

I decided to make the EA a non-profit anyway, since I already come equipped with my own sense of moral superiority. [Insert smiley here]
