Bloodthirsty omnivore congregation

I shouldn’t be blogging this, but…Well, last night, we were invited to observe a meeting of the vast right-wing conspiracy. I had no idea that our friend Scott Norvell (European bureau chief of Fox News and quite obviously a complete pawn of Christian fundamentalists, the Jews, the Bush administration, Halliburton, and a bunch of other nefarious groups) even knew our other friend Greg Gutfeld (former editor of Men’s Health, Stuff, Maxim UK, and the only right-wing, hate-spewing warmonger on the Huffington Post), so I did a lot of exclaiming and squealing when Greg and his wife Elena first appeared. Especially fascinating was hearing about Scott’s recent trip to Iran, where the officials there truly believed that Fox News is funded by the Pentagon; they block a hell of a lot of blogs and dissident sites, but it looks like the mullahs are big fans of Indymedia and Daily Kos. Antoine and I had a wonderful night, with great company, hilarious conversation, and some truly delicious food. It’s times like these that I wonder why we want to leave London. (Then we get on public transport and it all comes rushing back to me.)

  1. Leave London?? Maybe for Chillicothe? - You could enjoy “re-runs” of Tecumseh! all summer.

  2. And what a great fun the afternoon was. Believe it or not, politics was hardly mentioned. I think Jackie covered it by the mention of our conversation about Iran. I brought the topic up only because I knew Scott recently visited the country.

As for public transport, it sucks. Just need to make enough money for cabs. :-)

  3. […] This is the blooming fruit of our VRWC BBQ, the brainchild of Perry, Antoine, and Greg. I don’t know whether to be ashamed or…ashamed. Posted by Jackie Danicki | […]
