Cathy Seipp

Our friend Miss Cathy is in no pain, but it looks like the cancer that should have taken her life years ago is finally doing so. Her brave daughter, Maia, has posted an update on Cathy’s blog.

If you are in any way able to offer support to Maia, I would urge you to do so. For example, I promised Cathy that, as soon as I can get back to LA, I would help Maia learn to drive and teach her how to cook some of the dishes I made for her earlier this month when I visited. Those local to southern California have more scope to help with the practical things, but even if you’re far away and all you can offer is a sympathetic ear once in a while, I know that would mean the world to Cathy. Maia’s email address is cecilemldubois AT aol DOT com.

  1. Wow. Someone who actually knows Cathy Siepp has arrived here in the ‘nati. I’m a huge fan of her writing. She will be missed.

  2. Jackie: How great that you were able to spend time with Cathy and do some cooking for her. Good friends are precious.
It’s a very sad day today. I’ve come to know Cathy only through the blog but have admired her skillful writing and “take” on things.
Life truly sucks, sometimes. Bravo to you for your plan to help Maia.
