Sometimes, after a long day of hearing about software (bleh) and strategies (ugh) and ’stakeholders’ (double ugh), working in very masculine environments, I really need something cute to revive me. So I bought myself this print, and this one, from theblackapple (who blogs here).
I mean, check out her living room! And the tree bed! I mean, no man would ever share either of those with me (Antoine’s not THAT easygoing), which makes me think I need to make enough money to buy myself my own little cottage somewhere rural. I’ll need a barn for my pet unicorn, too.

Those rooms are very conservative! I was expecting Hello Kitty all over the walls or something, gracious me, most women force their men to sleep in far less manly and more pink and stupid bedrooms than that, if you believe the makeover shows. What about that changing rooms one where they stuck fairy lights all over the ceiling?
Mind you, I’m an old-fashioned believer in men encouraging women to do whatever the hell decorating they want and then appreciating it whatever.
Pet unicorn however- excellent idea.
As a man, I have to say I really like the bed, and the wall decorations behind the couch. The couch itself, though, yeah, I don’t like as much :P

There is just too much beauty in the world for me to wrap my arms around it all, which is in some ways a good thing. Won’t stop me trying, though.
