Daniel Brusilovsky rocks

Daniel (aka @danielbru on Twitter) is one of my new colleagues at Qik. He’s also the 15-year-old CEO of Teens in Tech and one of the most connected, clever, generous people I’ve met.

For example: I mentioned in passing a problem I’d been having with WordPress, and Daniel immediately pulled up his own blog’s back-end to show me the exact plug-in I needed to make the issue go away. For another example: I commented on one of Daniel’s photos from Wherecamp 2008 that I really wanted one of those Google tents. Yesterday, he came into the office with not only a tent for me, but a Wherecamp t-shirt, too.

This guy is one to watch - mark my words.

  1. Thanks for sharing about Daniel. I’m looking forward to reading more about somebody who is so awesome and half my age.

  2. It really does make me think even more about the limitations we impose on kids - and encourage them to impose on themselves - without thinking about it. Daniel is proof that we are capable of much more than we often allow ourselves to believe. It’s something I need to be reminded of daily (or hourly!), so I’m extra-glad to get to hang with him. His parents must be at least half as cool as he is!

  3. Daniel doesn’t like to be different because of his age. Only thing I know : He is an entrepreneur with an amazing vision. Good to read you get along well together. When can I come and visit my dream Team?

  4. Daniel doesn’t like to be different because of his age, no, but it is a differentiating factor and not one from which he shies away. It’s prominent in his online bios and with good reason!

I am so unsurprised that he also knows you, Florian. When I mentioned “a friend in Ireland” to him, Daniel said, “Is it Pat Phelan?” Awesome. We’re all taking over the world!

You know you have an open invitation to come visit, motek. :)

  5. Thank you very much for the comments… its going to be great working with you, Jackie! Florian, come on over any time you want :)
