Our holiday is going well. But last night, I received some very disturbing news from Ohio, and it seems a little less easy to be carefree today. The thunderstorm last night seemed entirely appropriate.
Not that it cooled things off, as we’d hoped. Nope - it’s still boiling. I love Paris, but it might be worth knocking down all the old buildings in order to build new ones with some semblance of mod cons. (I’m joking…sort of. This sweating thing is for the birds. It even drove me to cut off all my hair.)

I love your new hair!
Hope your Ohio burden is manageable.
Thanks, Catriona!
I love your new haircut too! You look fabulous. :-)
I hope the news from Ohio will improve. When are you back in London?
Thanks - I’m back on Saturday, and will see you at Scott’s house in Chiswick on Sunday!
Great look. Long hair is always nice (because of the atavistic desire men have to see women flipping their hair) but your new cut is tres sophisticated and elegant.
Hey, thanks, Chris! I never realised how much hair flipping I did until I cut it all off; several times a day, I find myself going to flip hair where there is none. (I also move to push up my glasses when I’m not wearing any. Maybe I’m just a bit dim.)
The hair is just fab. Congratulations.
