Despite the backward people, I still love Cincinnati

Cincinnati first snow

And I suspect I always will. I’ve been really bursting with gratitude lately for the fact that I live here now. May explain why I find myself saying “I love Cincinnati” at least once a day.
Blake Fox will have some of his photography of Cincinnati published in an upcoming book. When I first moved to town, I did a Flickr search for photos of Cincinnati, and some of Blake’s caught my eye and captured my imagination. This must have been all of two days before I met him at a party and he became one of my favorite people in Cincinnati. (His photo of a snowy Cincinnati is the only thing that has me looking forward to winter.)
Also! I designed a photo card for Christmas, using only photographs I took in 2007, on Walgreens’ very Web 1.0 site. (I was going to use VistaPrint, but charging a $4.99 “upload fee” and claiming that it’s necessary to cover storage costs is so outrageous that I couldn’t bear to give them my custom.) Well, the Walgreens cards arrived today, and I could not be more pleased with them. I made a collage for the cover, which includes several Cincinnati shots, and it looks beautiful. I highly recommend the Walgreens photo card service, even if the UI is very antiquated.
