Ding-dong, the witch is dead

Claire Melamed is on her way out from Christian Aid, an organisation she made a laughingstock by using it as her megaphone to campaign for state control of markets.
Melamed was ideologically opposed to the market economy, saying that for markets for work: “everybody has to have perfect information - everybody has to know everything about what’s going on in the market and everyone has to know the same amount about what’s going on in the market.” Her preference for political planning over the market economy was most evident in her opposition to free trade and her belief that developing country politicians should pick winners.

“Perfect information” is from what part of the New Testament? She reminds me of Mark Steyn’s comment about people who are against the death penalty until their eyes light up when they say, “Except…”
Sounds like she was attempting to restate the Efficient Market Hypothesis… But got it muddled up.
