End of week top five gratitude list
1) I have great commenters, who led me to an excellent new mobile phone. I took delivery of my Sony Ericsson K750i this morning, and so far am loving the ease of use and fantastic two megapixel camera. Finally, a piece of electronica that lives up to its immense hype.
2) I booked yet another trip to Ohio for us, this one to take place early next year. At this rate, my family’s going to go very quickly from missing us to being sick of us.
3) I booked a stay at the Farmer’s Daughter in LA, which I’ve wanted to check out for a couple of years now. I have stayed (with a friend, who has sadly departed Los Angeles) within walking distance of The Grove and Farmers Market before, but this time, I’m bringing an extra empty suitcase.
4) One of my birthday presents to Antoine was a copy of Chris Anderson’s The Long Tail, which he read in, like, an hour - and loved. I like picking right. (His other presents: our Egyptian trip this coming October, a Tilley hat, and a pair of Rocawear trousers. He wouldn’t have asked for any of those, but I think he’s pleased with them.)
5) I bought some wonderful books this week.
And no, it has not escaped my notice that all five of these are related to shopping.
