Even if you don’t put down roots, it still hurts to leave

MARY: So Bob and Erin Marie went over to your apartment the other night, just to check on things and put any deliveries inside.

ME: Wow, I had no idea they were doing that! That’s so thoughtful!

MARY: Don’t tell me you’re surprised.

ME: No, I’m not. Not at all.

MARY: Erin Marie said, “You know, Jackie’s place looks like she could still be living there. Everything is in its place. It’s like she just up and left one day and never came back.”

ME: That’s so sad!

MARY: And I said to her, “Well, that’s kind of what happened.”

ME: Shut up! I’m going to cry!

Thankfully, I’m going back to Cincinnati this month at some point - no idea right now when I can fit it in - to get moved out of my apartment there. I’m really looking forward to seeing my friends.

  1. Well it is kind of what happened. You just grabbed your bag and umbrella, and let the winds carry you off to help another city who needed it. The Mary Poppins of the blogosphere.
