Making my way through the pile of unanswered emails and Facebook messages I didn’t get to while I was sick. Please bear with me.
The highlight of a pretty meh week was Stephanie Dunlap coming to talk at the Cincinnati Salon. Somehow, every conversation I have with her ends with me all fired up - in a good way - about something or other.
Another highlight: The Years Are Short, a brief but moving online movie my friend Gretchen Rubin made. The title comes from a favorite saying of Gretchen’s:
The days are long, but the years are short.
Aren’t they just. I can’t help bearing this in mind when I am deciding these days whether or not to give some bothersome person or some annoying situation my time. Unsurprisingly, I never come out in favor of squandering the days or the years.
