Finding your marbles

Scott Davis is doing the world a big favor with his blog Finding Your Marbles, in which he gives practical advice and guidance to those who suffer (or have suffered) depression, other mental illness, and/or sexual assault. (Male victims of sexual assault will find Scott’s perspective especially helpful, and while it’s a totally grim subject, I’m glad Scott is blogging openly and honestly about his recovery from an experience shrouded in so much shame.) I’ve been reading him faithfully for a while now, and even though I sometimes disagree slightly with him, it’s a very stimulating, thought-provoking read. Much of the advice Scott gives is very probably saving lives, which is not something we can say about many bloggers.

Thanks, Scott, and thanks also to Gretchen Rubin at The Happiness Project for pointing me towards Scott’s blog a few months ago.
