It is a little known fact that I have actually been a fan of country music since my college years. One of the most surreal experiences I ever had (in a life filled with surreal experiences!) was attending a country music concert in Boston (David Lee Murphy and Jo Dee Messina) and realizing that I was the only non-white person in the place, and that everyone was looking at me.
Well, I think of Krauss as bluegrass, but…I have to admit, I have a mix CD (made for me by an old - British! - boyfriend) which includes both Murphy’s Dust on the Bottle plus Messina’s Heads Carolina, Tails California and You’re Not in Kansas Anymore. Excellent mix it is, too.
