I’m pretty shocked at how many people are telling me, in the sort of hushed tones that just make me want to snort with laughter, that they like Sarah Palin. I’m not talking about Republicans or people I’d describe as in any way conservative, either.
Make of that what you will.

Well, she’s a politician and therefore about as trustworthy as an ill-tempered, starved weasel in a small, dark, box, but she has made this election a heck of a lot more entertaining…
The other interesting thing is to compare men’s and women’s reactions. All the former Hillary-supporters I talk with despise Palin. But most other people are (reluctantly in many cases) impressed. And the Republicans are definitely in love.
