Going, going…
We depart for Italy in the middle of the night tonight. As I’m busy with social stuff between now and then (with a couple of hours of sleep, if I manage to pack quickly), I doubt I’ll get to the rest of my 2005 highlight list. So here’s an abbreviated version:
August: We went to Amsterdam for Antoine’s 40th birthday, his first time there. It was wonderful.
September: I lost about 12 pounds, after putting on 10 pounds over the previous year (after having lost…well, a lot of pounds). (I think I gained back all 12 pounds in the last 30 days, as it happens.) I moved my blog to WordPress. The fourth month in my new job was really great.
October: I did a really good event for my job. At the end of the month, we went to Slovakia, which was mindblowing.
November: I did another event for work, in Gibraltar, which was…fun. Driving from Malaga, in Spain, to Gibraltar? Not so fun. Antoine and I went to Ohio for Thanksgiving, where he met my family and friends, charming everyone.
December: Gosh, lots, but nothing I can blog about. We’re going to Italy for the New Year, though, so that has to count.
It’s been a good one. The next 12 months is going to be even better.
