The apartment WAS ready…ish. Much improved on last night and fine to move into. Small stuff will be done over the next few days - which is fine, since my lease does not actually start until August 1.
My moving guy (who was fab; he did some work for me back in March too) told me this morning, when I started getting annoyed about a parking debacle (which wasn’t a debacle after all), “You are powerless over other people. It’s okay.” Turns out he is also in AA, as is one of his assistants who helped us today. We get around!
Speaking of getting around: My friend Mary and I saw four racoons hanging out on a street corner in Over-the-Rhine tonight. The hell?

I am surprised you did not see possums on the other corner. They seem to hang out in gangs like that in the hood. What ever the racoons leave, the possums take possession because the do not have the ingenuity of the Racoons to open garbage cans as easily. I am totally serious. This is a city owned by coons and possums at night!
