LA Weekly outshines the BBC, New York Times, and every other big media pub

Kate Coe’s LA Weekly article on Theresa Duncan makes for extremely juicy reading. I’ve read and heard a lot about Theresa since she took her life last month, but this story contains tons of new details and quotes from friends. Then again, Kate Coe is an excellent journalist, so I’m not surprised.
Even better? LA Weekly actually lets her link to her sources throughout the four-page story! And I don’t just mean other articles on the Weekly’s website - there are links to other newspapers’ pieces (yes, links to the competition!) and blogs (yes, links to ‘uncredentialed’ journalists!). This is the way all online publications should be doing things. Kudos to Kate and to LA Weekly for getting it so very right.
