Last night, I realised that I had not yet enjoyed the Christmas atmosphere of any London pubs this winter. So at 10PM, I dragged Antoine and his parents out to the Holly Bush in Hampstead, the most festive of neighbourhood pubs. By 4AM, I was sitting at a craps table at the Hard Rock Casino. Somewhere along the way, something went horribly right. (Not that it felt that way this morning. And no, I wasn’t gambling, just watching a friend win lots of money.)
