Mejana

As Sean Fisher notes in the comments here, the downtown Lebanese restaurant formerly next to the Terrace Hotel, Mejana, has moved to Tri-County Mall. This is also what I was told by one half of the husband and wife team that owns Marrakech, which bought some tables and chairs from Mejana. (Marrakech is consequently much more comfortable. I’m really happy for them to have invested in such nice furniture.)

I’ve never been to Tri-County Mall, but every time I’ve heard it mentioned in conversation, everyone present has wrinkled their noses as if they’ve caught a whiff of dead river rats. Make of that what you will.

  1. Unless you like malls, Tri-County is not worth the trip. There is really nothing there to set it apart from any other mall in Anywhere, USA.

Plus the traffic in the area is unbelievably bad.

  2. It’s not the end of the world. But it’s close. I highly recommend Glendale, though. It’s close by.

  3. My wife has been trying to get me there for lunch for a few months now, but our schedules don’t often align… We finally made it down there yesterday only to find that they’re moving! Bummer!!
