Mill Lane renaissance

Only about two people reading this will have any idea what I’m on about, but: Is it me, or is Mill Lane (NW6, running between West End Lane and Kilburn High Road) really coming alive? Antoine and I were walking around the neighborhood today and I felt like everything there is changing so rapidly. There’s the cake shop (Bake-a-Boo), the organic market (It’s That Organic Place), and now an actual restaurant to compete with the lamentable 77 wine bar and the Indigo Grill (The Kitchen Table, which looks nice and has nothing on the menu costing more than £6). I fully expect a Starbucks to appear the next time I’m here.

  1. Yes, I thought that when I drove past a few weeks ago. The strange thing used to be that although there was a number of shops and so on which looked as if they could be interesting, but they never seemed to be open. I’m not sure why.

  2. I know! I don’t think the hipster clothing shop Farz has been open once that I’ve walked or driven past, even though the window displays change often. It’s creepy.
