Nokia email client
Posted on August 31st, 2008 by Jackie Danicki
Since the email function native to Nokia’s Symbian phones is pretty poor, I’m glad they’ve made up for it with this new app. As Pat Phelan notes, it does what it says on the tin - very straightforward and easy to get going (unlike the native app). I’m testing it on my N95 and have found that I get new email alerts for my Gmail account from the Nokia client well in advance of when the Gmail web client notifies me.
The Nokia email client is free for now, while it’s in public beta, but I suspect there may be a charge for it when they launch properly. At this rate, it’s something I’d be willing to pay for.
