O, Walford

This is the kind of news that makes me want to move back to Britain:
Bianca is coming back to Albert Square!

Sadly, I am not even slightly exaggerating. EastEnders used to be a national treasure, until about five years ago. Maybe Patsy Palmer can restore it to glory. Just watching this makes me a little homesick.

  1. I read somehwere else today that RIICCKKAAAYYY (newly reinvented as a chef, don’t you know, see: http://www.randomhouse.ca/author/results.pperl?authorid=75610) is coming back too.

I’m guessing you heard the tragic news of Mike Reid’s passing earlier this year too?

  2. What do you take me for, some kinda double-yolker?

Translation from Frank Butcherese: Yes, sadly.

  3. I got into EastEnders when it was being shown on PBS–channel 16, I believe. I saw Martine McCutcheon on my screen and that was enough to hook me. That was way back before she (Tiffany) and Grant got together.

I followed the show over to BBC America. They then made the brilliant decision to stop showing it. If I wanted to watch it, I would have had to pay extra to DISH Network to watch it on pay-per-view. No thanks.

It’s been a few years and I have no idea what’s happening on the show anymore.

  4. EE on PPV? Is the BBC trying to destroy its fanbase or wot?

I stopped watching about five years ago. They’ve ruined it.
