This is a moulin (which locals - or maybe just Antoine’s mother, who nicknames everyone and everything - call le sifflet, the whistle) on a hill behind Antoine’s parents’ house in Provence. It is also one of the most reassuringly remote places I have ever spent time. Everyone should have a whistle in their lives.
