Picnik, Seesmic, and other procrastination tools

The 5chw4r7zes and I had a great time at the Downtown Residents’ Council holiday party at Universal Grille tonight with some lovely new friends. Contrary to appearances, I usually don’t go in for super-organized activities, but this was casual enough to be comfortable for me.

And that’s my last hurrah for now, as I prepare to have a dozen people over for dinner tomorrow night and head to London this weekend (have no idea what I’m feeding everyone, need to do laundry, haven’t even started packing, etc).

If I have time, I’m going to flex my new Seesmic account and post a very short video entry here tomorrow. I just started playing around with the service in the last couple of days (procrastination often gets me to test new technology) and so far, it’s an oddly pleasant experience.

In the meantime, Picnik added a few new playful features that helped me make the photo up there. Give the gift of Picnik to your favorite online picture faffer - it’s a real bargain, doesn’t need to be wrapped, and can be used every day. I love mine!

  1. Hey, I showed up super late to the party, was hoping for a sighting. Happy Holiday-of-your-choice! I name-dropped (your blog) on my membership form, since this was my main incentive for joining.

  2. I’m glad you joined, Kristy! Thanks also for citing the blog. I want the DRC to start putting all their massive amounts of information online, rather than in an inaccessible, unsearchable email silo, and every little bit of encouragement should help.

  3. very cool to see you in Seesmic ! Thanks for joining us.
