TechCrunch 50 came to a close last night. It was a whirlwind three days of product demos, meeting people, and running on empty. I’m surprised at how sad I feel that it’s all over for this year.

Qik had a great time at the event. There were some logistical headaches, such as the wifi problems which have been covered extensively elsewhere, but I think the TC50 team did a fantastic job of pulling off a truly valuable event. Due to my schedule, I only got to see one pitch out of the 52 total, and I missed the chat with Peter Thiel that I’d so been anticipating. But any disappointment is tempered with gratitude for all the good things that happened over the last three days because of TC50.

On a personal yet professional note, I was totally blown away with how amazing my colleagues were during the conference. I knew they were good, but Rishi, Audrey, and Jane really proved to me all over again how lucky I am to work with them. Those guys rolled with the punches when there was no wifi and when other logistical hassles intervened, made some superb connections, and did everything they could to ensure that the event was a big win for us. I can’t thank them enough for their energy, tenacity, and utter awesomeness.

Finally, I have to thank TC50 for bringing so many friends from around the world to one spot for three whole days. Friends from the UK, Ireland, Israel and elsewhere made this an extra-wonderful event for me, and I am only sorry that I don’t know when I’ll see them next. Hopefully it will be before TC75 - or whatever next year’s version will be. No matter what it’s called, I’ll definitely be there.
