I’ve personally been asked hundreds of times when Qik would be available for BlackBerry devices. As any mobile or BlackBerry geek knows, this requires some hardcore magic. Well, we got there!

Like I’m constantly telling our developers, who are deeply clever and incredibly hardworking (both massive understatements), they make my job pretty easy. All I have to do is brag about all the genius stuff they do - not bad work if you can get it.

FastCompany.tv’s Robert Scoble has a really cool video interview with my boss, Bhaskar (one of Qik’s three co-founders), and Alexey, one of the developers from our Moscow team who built the BlackBerry clients. The bags under their eyes say it all - these guys work all the hours God sends, and then some. I give them such a hard time, but only to cover up how much I really admire them. They do amazing work. (Note that within an hour of releasing our alpha BlackBerry release, we had already added support for two more devices, thanks to enthusiastic Qik fans who were eager to help us test. Our users contribute hugely to our product development, in a way I’ve never seen in any other company.)
