Man, I love my friends. Adriana says, in linking to this video, in which it is asked how we should change the internet so it can support journalism:
Huh? it’s like dinosaurs saying how do we change the planet so it can support us and we don’t die out. The planet doesn’t care!
The tags for that link also made me laugh out loud.

I am laughing out loud — and I’m a journalist! “Shape up the internet to sustain journalism” by creating (oh my god) something called “Information Valet” so people can get information off the web… yeah, it’s called a laptop and an internet hook-up. Good lord.
I’ve recently been asked to speak at certain events, including at a journalism school in Oregon, and I thought, it’s a reliquary. And, there’s not one reason (that cannot instantly be trumped) for anyone to attend, good-bye.
