So much for NuLabour’s “social engineering”. In addition, there is another category that benefits - children whose parents understand that parenting involves sacrifice and who have saved and scrimped to get their children better education. I am sure there is a not inconsiderable class element in the value chasm as well but one, that can barely be discussed in the ever-PC UK without being called elitisr, which some think is a term of abuse. :-/
