Qik has really spoiled me for old fashioned digital video recording; having to hook the camera up to the computer, upload the file to the PC, process it, upload it to a service like Vimeo…Well, I’m just far too lazy for that now. When all those cameras can stream straight to the web like I can from my cell phone with Qik, I might think about shooting video on them more often.
But for the sake of testing my new camera, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX500, I decided to shoot a little video outside today with a few of my colleagues. The fountain interfered with the audio, but you can see how good the overall quality was. This was not shot with a video camera, but with a point-and-shoot still camera that also does video.
Nice time to be alive, eh?
