RIP DJ AM
I took these pictures last November at a private party I was lucky enough to attend. First, Lionel Richie sang and played piano for us, then DJ AM spun until well after 2 in the morning. It was the best such party I’ve ever attended. Adam was amazing, mashing up the most unexpected tracks and had everyone on their feet and begging him not to stop even after the party was supposed to be over. He kept going. All the girls talked about how surprisingly attractive he was in the flesh.
When I landed in NYC last night, I had lots of texts from friends asking me if I had heard. It’s just unspeakably sad. Addiction is no joke, post traumatic stress disorder should be taken seriously by sufferers and their loved ones, and the world has lost someone who made a lot of people feel good. So unnecessary.
