VP of Marketing & Communications for Rackup, but nothing here reflects what my employer or colleagues think. In fact, they probably think it's all cray-cray.
I heard Ted Kennedy speak (on TV) twice. The first time was the laughable “where was George?” speech at the 1988 Democratic Convention, which essentially turned a lot of the press into deciding that the Dukakis campaign was a joke. “At home, sober, with his wife” was the instant riposte.
The second was an intervention in the debate over the nomination of Samuel Alito in early 2006 to the Supreme Court (I saw it on TV in Chillicothe). Kennedy was whinging, rambling, and had the nerve to claim to be defending the rights of women. For a laugh, I’d like to compare the “official” transcript with the actual tape recording of the speech. An embarrassment.
I’d like to know what the late Senator did to ensure that the truth came out about Martha Moxley’s murder, the alleged rape of Patricia Bowman, and alleged sexual assaults of Audra Soulias and three other women.
Did Senator Kennedy urge his younger relatives (Michael Skakel and William Kennedy Smith) to respond sensitively to the accusations? I think not.
IMHO, the defense of women by Ted Kennedy was no more than a tick in a box of his list of special interest groups, and obscene gesture if it wasn’t so empty.
No, only nasty comments that people have the guts to put their name to are allowed.
That said, I have never quite understood why people feel the need to tell you they’re not coming back to your blog. Even stranger is when they then…come back to your blog. Bizarre.
From Boston, THANK YOU JACKIE. This whole current spectacle is completely nauseating.
Those who are interested might find this Twitter account a good resource: http://twitter.com/KopechneNews
Oh, and my friend Alice Bachini-Smith has more: http://www.themadhousewife.com/?p=3664
A nice touch Jackie.

Oh, I get it. Only comments that AGREE with you are allowed. Hypocrite!
