My friend Nancy Rommelmann and her husband, Din Johnson (brother of my co-editor and friend Hillary Johnson), opened Din’s artisanal coffee roasting company and café in Portland last month. An abbreviated website for Ristretto Roasters is now live. I’m not a coffee drinker, but they’ve got free wifi and Nancy’s amazing chocolate chip cookies; if I lived in Portland, I’d move into the place. From the reviews I’ve been seeing all over the interweb, coffee drinkers are loving Ristretto Roasters as much as I would have guessed.
