I was supposed to go to New York last week, but had to cancel the trip due to other work requirements. Nice problem to have, and certainly one I could only dream of having when I was a little girl and fantasizing about the life I wanted to live someday. Someday is here and it’s pretty great.
(I hope the above does not sound smug. Life is always a struggle, which is good for us, but I enjoy it a lot more when I stop to remind myself what came before.)

I have your blog on my RSS feed, so I read it pretty regularly. I don’t feel this is smug, and honestly it makes me happy for you.
I hope that someday I’m living the life the way you are. What you’re doing is something I would love to be doing some day. What I hope to be doing some day. I just graduated college and am trying to decide what steps to take to get to where I want to be. I read your blog because honestly, you remind me that it is possible. So, I don’t feel it’s smug-it’s just being happy!
