Sorting and expunging
I really wish I could find a good blog about cleaning and household organisation. Technorati’s Blog Finder is, unsurprisingly, not much help on this one.
I tried to get into Flylady, but hate the way it is written and presented. There are some good tips there, but I have to hold my nose to sift through the irritating tone in order to get to them. I’m done trying.
I wish Julie Morgenstern had a blog; in the meantime, I may just try to sift through her message boards to find some worthwhile nuggets. (Yet another reason why message boards suck: Finding the information you want takes at least twice as long.) When I make my first £10 million, I’m going to put that woman on a retainer.
One thing I have done is start a private wiki (on JotSpot) for myself, which details my household organisational goals and what needs to be done in order to get there. Those goals will change, as will what needs to be done, so the wiki is the perfect dynamic format to keep track of it all.
And also, I am a nerd.
