Techdirt Greenhouse II: Funnies

Gosh, it’s kind of killing me to go through these notes, because I want to write a comprehensive account of everything, but at the same time am losing the will to live. Blame the Actifed.

So, going through them, I was reminded of a couple of things that really made me laugh during the day. I have a feeling they are both “Guess you had to be there” lines, but I was there and so they’re pretty funny.

First, when Mike Masnick said that Mike Ho had devised a great way of running the breakout sessions and asked him to explain how it worked (everyone gets different coloured cut-out shapes and has to match their colour with the discussion leader’s for each session, which is designated a specific shape), MH laughed and described the system as “patent-pending”. Like I said, you had to be there (and even then, I think I laughed harder than anyone else did at that).

Second, later in the day, someone was asked if their company was a non-profit, and he responded, “Well, not legally, but practically…”

In case you’re wondering, no, I wasn’t on the Actifed during the event itself.
