Thank you, India*
My decision to concentrate on positive people/situations and let negative relationships/situations die of neglect has been a good one. If nothing else, it has left me continually gobsmacked by how much support I receive from so many positive people. Not all of them are necessarily friends (my definition of friendship being, I hope, not that shallow), but they are at least friendly acquaintances. So let me give a shout out of big thanks, for various acts of friendship and/or friendly support of late, to the following (in no particular order, except the first one, whose t-shirt I’m wearing as I type): Jim Treacher, Adriana Cronin-Lukas, JP Rangaswami, David Tebbutt, Hillary Johnson, Kamal Aboukhater, Nancy Rommelmann, my dear young dad, the Exbrayat heiress, Dr Adrian Bailey, Peter Revell (who really should be blogging, dammit), Karri Dawn (ditto), Siobhan Marlow (QUADRUPLE ditto), Perry de Havilland, Amy Alkon, and - as ever - Antoine, the man who never, ever complains and always makes everything better, even when I’m determined to be my ratbag self.
*Does having this Alanis Morrissette track (the only one, I swear!) on my iRiver make me game for a happy-slap? Thought so…
