I didn’t tag James Hamilton for the five things meme, but he blogged his answers anyway. I’m glad; many of them made me think, “Hmm, me too.”

But this answer, to the five bad habits question, made me think:

Despair is the greatest sin, and I am occasionally prone to it.

I can’t quite put despair in the same league as pride, and not just because it is damage to our pride which so often leads to despair. I’m open to being persuaded otherwise, though.

(And I quite liked that a William Barrett wrote to the Guardian’s Ethical Conundrum column on this question and said I see nobody could be bothered to suggest “sloth”. Hee.)
