Well, that was fun

The wedding was beautiful (though I wish I’d known that camera for longer than five minutes before I had to use it to take photographs; the day after we bought it, the shutter refused to open all the way, so it went back before we left the US). Far be it from me to sound dramatic, but having been through so much over the last 16 (gulp) years with Karri, I thought my head and heart were going to explode when I saw her walking down the aisle. (I didn’t cry as I’d expected, though, probably because Karri set a great example and just smiled her precious face off the whole evening. If she’d cried, I probably would have too.)
And how cool is it to be serenaded by your closest friends and family on the eve of your wedding?
We got back to London this morning, and it seems I’ve managed to pick up the same annoying chest infection I caught when I made this same trip a few weeks ago. I need to make a trip to LA very soon, so am going to chill out a bit for the next few days. And by “chill out,” I mean do laundry, complete my freelance assignments, and finish that cookbook I mentioned. As long as I don’t have to step foot in an airport for the next week, I’ll be fine.
