I can’t get this quote from Atlas Shrugged out of my head right now:

I swear — by my life and my love of it — that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.

Can you imagine expecting another human being to live their life for your sake?

If I never again read or hear some depraved individual say that a choice made by one person constitutes “a big step backwards for [insert group here],” it won’t be too soon.
