I can’t think of the last time I could be motivated to watch an entire presentation on video, but this brief and very well done talk by Clay Shirky at Supernova really held my attention.

People are fond of saying, as if it makes them clever, “Well, you can’t really do anything new on the web. Sure, it might make some things easier, but there’s really nothing new going on.”

What a joyless way to look at something so amazing, and that very much is doing something new. It’s all about love - and not the sort that people trawl online dating sites hoping to find.
